Year 1 after the 20th anniversary of c/o pop is just around the corner, and in 2024 the c/o pop Convention is once again inviting you to a big get-together in Cologne-Ehrenfeld. On April 25 and 26, 2024, two packed convention days await you in and around Herbrandt's with numerous panels, receptions, workshops and networking events all about the music world.

Focus on sustainability

How can we work together to make the music industry more socially and environmentally sustainable and fair? How can we make the music world a better place for everyone - for the people who work in it, for fans and audiences, for society and the environment? Where can and must we do something? What concepts are already being implemented and what ideas are there for the future? These questions will once again be the focus of this year's first industry get-together. You can expect exciting input from experts and pioneers who are already working on the music industry of tomorrow - practical and inspiring!

Listen to people talking for hours? Sure, if it's interesting! At the c/o pop Convention 2024, we'll be taking a closer look (and listen!) at the podcast phenomenon: Tina Jürgens (Co-CEO of the ZEBRALUTION Group) is hosting a panel on "The Future of Audio Shows: Can podcasts be more than a niche?". The panel will include Jochen Schliemann and Michael Dietz from the podcast "Reisen Reisen", Christian Schalt from RTL, podcast producer Maria Bokelberg and Nina Wüst from podcast marketer Acast. But we're not just talking about podcasts, we're also bringing some to the stage, including "Goldstückli", the podcast for new music by Ueli & Winson, and "HIP HOP LEBT - Der 360° Kultur Podcast" by Julia Gröschel - and you can be there live!

Hi, partners: VUT Indie Days & TINCON!

For the fifth time, the VUT Indie Days will be taking place in Cologne and, as part of the c/o pop Convention, will form a central meeting point for the independent music industry from Germany and abroad. The VUT Indie Days Cologne, which we are organizing together with the regional group VUT West, are once again all about knowledge transfer, exchange and, of course, networking.

TINCON, the popular participatory conference for digital youth culture, will also be making a stop here again this year and is open to all visitors to the c/o pop Convention. Speakers will pass on their skills and knowledge in talks, workshops and Q&As. The topics are as diverse as your social media feed.

Welcome back, Music People!

MUSIC PEOPLE will be the new community for all people working in the music industry. The program at the c/o pop Convention will shed light on pressing questions about working in the music industry and is intended to inspire new members of the industry and inform experienced colleagues with personnel responsibility about the current challenges facing their colleagues on the podium. Moderated by Tilmann Köllner and Tina Krüger, the personal careers of selected industry heads will be highlighted and the latest challenges and findings in personnel management in the music industry will be discussed. At the subsequent MUSIC PEOPLE MARGARITAS reception, the community will celebrate its official launch in the heart of the c/o pop Convention.

The Delegates Database is online and open to all ticket holders of the c/o pop Convention 2024. Due to the positive experiences from last year, we have again decided to create a LinkedIn group where we will provide you with important information and offer you a platform for networking. There you will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with other participants in advance or make appointments during the festival. We will also update you here with the latest news about the convention! The group is open to all ticket holders and is now active.

In our Pro Area at Bumann & SOHN, all PRO ticket holders, artists and speakers can come together for networking on both days. On Thursday, April 25, 2024, our partner PRG, an international full-service provider for the technical equipment and implementation of events, invites you to a special event from 7 pm.

Getting into conversation together over a cool drink: That’s probably what we’ve all missed the most over the past three years. This year it is finally possible again. All delegates, speakers and artists are invited to the Networking Area in Herbrand’s Biergarten on Thursday and Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. for relaxed networking.

If you’re not from Cologne, you can travel by train not only in a climate-friendly way, but also at a super low price. We’ve made a great deal with Deutsche Bahn that gives our ticket buyers discounted train tickets. The event ticket for a one-way journey with train connection (while stocks last) costs 55.90 euros in 2nd class and 89.90 euros in 1st class (including seat reservation). The fully flexible event ticket (always available) costs 77.90 euros for a one-way journey in 2nd class and 112.90 euros in 1st class (including seat reservation). We have a new ticket on offer for you: If you are aged 25 or under, a student or in training, you can get the YOUNG PRO TICKET for just 99 euros. This combined ticket gives you access to all talks, panels, workshops and networking events on Thursday and Friday at the c/o pop Convention as well as the c/o pop Festival program from Thursday to Sunday. Or you can opt for the YOUNG CONVENTION-ONLY ticket for just 39 euros - this allows you to visit both c/o pop Convention days with all program items including TINCON!
